The WHO has declared COVID-19 a pandemic. In light of the ongoing global crisis, regular incoming flight operations have been suspended by the Government of Pakistan to ensure the health and safety of our people and travelers. Limited air operations are continuing.

Currently, the Government is making all-out efforts to deal with a rapidly evolving situation which is a challenge, not only for Pakistan but the whole world – and ensuring that we take proactive, comprehensive and coordinated steps to bring back our nationals who wish to return to Pakistan.

Meanwhile, our Embassies and Missions abroad are actively supporting stranded Pakistanis in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis. If you are stranded abroad or need information regarding travel to and from Pakistan, please reach out to the relevant authorities through the contact information listed here.

The following policies are currently in effect. Please view the guidelines page for more detailed SOPs. Please note that these policies/SOPs are liable to change according to the evolving situation without prior notice.

Inbound International Passenger Flights

A limited number of flights are being operated to ensure the safe return of our nationals and the safety of passengers traveling to and from Pakistan. Please note that the number and origin of these flights are being constantly reviewed to ensure the timely return of our nationals, whilst ensuring that our capacity to conduct COVID testing and manage these passengers in quarantine facilities is not exceeded. The government is working tirelessly to increase these capacities, and as this capacity continues to grow our ability of passenger intake will also rise.

Scheduled flights for the current week can be viewed here . Please note that these are subject to change depending on the evolving situation.

Upon arrival in Pakistan, all passengers passengers will be tested on and sent home for self-isolation without having to wait for test results. Passengers will be added to the track and trace system to ensure follow up by provincial governments for those with positive results or those who may develop symptoms, ensuring the safety and health of the passengers and the general public.

Passengers may be quarantined/move to a hospital isolation facility  based on the result of their COVID-19 test.

Passengers who test positive may be allowed a preference between two modes of quarantine, government quarantine centers or government regulated hotel/facility. Government quarantine centers will be free of cost. Passengers will be responsible for all expenses arising from their stay if they choose to stay in a government regulated hotel/facility. Passengers will not be able to switch facilities once their quarantine begins unless deemed necessary by the authorities. While the government will try its best to accommodate passengers according to their preferences, paid facilities are limited and cannot be guaranteed. The authorities on the ground will have the final say on where passengers are quarantined.
